So we are actually considering making and marketing things like this. I may try to create a facade that goes around the base of the topper to look like the outer wall of the labyrinth. I am a terrible 3d modeler, if anyone wants to steal my idea that's fine just please send me the files.Īnd here's another shitty mspaint for you guys: pasted_image (resized).png pasted_image (resized).png pasted_image (resized).png I wish they weren't just stuck on a black base. I feel like the only thing that's really keeping it from feeling "perfect" is some sort of sculpted base. Light blue circle seems redundant if it just also goes to purple.Īgree the puppets are cool. In the Bowen videos (or trailer) we see a couple of times ball entering purple scoop from left. I do think the light blue triangle is a magnet.īut, why does light blue circle exist if only to shoot it out purple scoop? Magnet could simply catch, drop it back down left orbit, hit the black rectangular diverter behind spinner directly into scoop. In neither case did I see the rectangular diverter behind the spinner used or the ball come back down that way, so it does seem like it might have been traveling light blue to purple. Plunge at 2:06 counter clockwise outer orbit. I'd have to look through my footage again and see what was going on.īackhand left flipper at 0:26 goes clockwise outer orbit. I think it might be a mag catch to sink it in. Light blue on the left is also hit from the orbit on the left or right. Blue on right is hit from doing orbit on the left or from the right flipper shot. I think it's hit from doing the small orbit on the right behind the wiseman. Okay I'm uploading raw footage of my gameplay. I will need to call them Monday so they can link the two orders, so they can ship together. After reading your post I went back to their site and ordered the topper. Not to mention they are a little scary, the same way they where in the film I ordered a machine through cointaker and passed on the topper. But when I seen their moths don't move much and they really did not come on to often. I thank you for this information and sharing it with us hear on the topper. If you aren't buying the topper with the machine I don't know what you're doing. I saw the animations happen once and it was good. It wasn't on the whole time and I didn't take video of it. Like it's really good.Ĭode isn't finished, they put all the effort into the gameplay code so there were only like 3 animations for the topper at the time. There are legit wigs on those things too. The ones on the sides move, they all light, there is also a light strip under them that changes colors. The topper looks exactly like the real puppets down to texture, they even mimic the urethane rubber look of the original puppets but they are solid plastic. They are 1 to 1 modeled from the originals. You can't tell from the pictures but the job they did on them is perfect. I got into it pretty deep with them on the topper. pasted_image (resized).png pasted_image (resized).png pasted_image (resized).png So again suggests they're counting the multi-entry "vuks" as part of the subway system, despit the ball not traveling under playfield from those spots. Regarding the subway number on the bonus screen, is related to how many times Bowen enter any of the 5 ways to the 2 subways.īut only 1 way each into light blue / orange from what we can tell here. There are 5 ways to get into the 2 physical subway systems. He did get bonus score for "subway" traversals on a very short ball which made me think that 3(blue) and 4(purple) above were counting towards "subway." never noticed the ball going into orange (or light blue but that's harder to tell). Also looks like a subway.īut where do they go? The under-playfield shot has these blank, but it definitely looks like subways go here. Same diverter for Blue can redirect right inner orbit to this. No where for it to go? Must be a subway?Ħ. Light Blue - Diverter on a counter clock wise orbit can knock it in. In some modes the left ramp lifts up to allow a shot to it. Purple: under left ramp: the black drop-target looking diverter on the left orbit can divert the ball into it. Diverter (blue triangle) can redirect inner left orbit to it. Blue: under right ramp: Can plunge to it. Investgating ball paths, scoops, and mystery cutouts and the big blank spot under the partially assembled playfield. someone can redo on a better pic of the unpopulated playfield but I took this from a video. Sorry for the poor quality of the images. Very interested in the "labyrinth" of ball paths so if anyone at expo can comment that would be cool.
